Workshop

Welcome to my Harry Potter-esque craft room under the stairs!

When strolling the shops of etsy I often wonder what peoples' workshops look like. Do they make their goods in their living room? Is there a craft room in their house? Do they use their garage as a workspace? So, here's a glimpse of my workspace and some of the beauties that I sell in my etsy shop metalbotany.

I do all of my designing and creating at this table. It was an awesome find at an antique store. Check out the details in the woodwork below.

Pretty storage is essential to me. I like being surrounded by cute but orderly objects.

I try to store all of my beads in vintage containers. Some of the beads are kept in jars, others in jadeite bowls, and most of them are kept in a wooden shadow box which allows me to separate them by color.

My tools are kept in an easy to transport metal basket. This way, if I feel like watching a movie upstairs while I make jewelry, I can easily take all of the essentials up in one trip. My little red and white trash can has made a huge difference in clean-up. Isn't it cute?

Lastly, I thought I'd share my display cases. I keep all of my creations in these shadow boxes and sort them by color. If I get an order, it's easy for me to find the piece and ship it out.

Thanks for visiting! I hope you come back soon.
